Dr. Effrat Habsha earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1991. She completed her dental training at the University of Toronto and received her DDS from the University of Toronto in 1995. Upon graduation, she completed a one year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Habsha received her diploma in Prosthodontics in 1998 and Master of Science degree in 2000, both from the University of Toronto. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Habsha’s work in Prosthodontics extends beyond her private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Toronto. From her work as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, to Staff Prosthodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, to the Editor for the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, Dr. Habsha works to further the practice and profession of Prosthodonitcs. She is on the editorial council for the Canadian Journal of Dental Technology and is an Executive Councilor for the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada. She has been awarded the Harold Keith Box Prize and received the A.A.P. Senior Student Award. Her research investigates the effects of cigarette smoking on dental implant survival and the longevity of several dental implant systems. She has published numerous articles on topics including; tooth wear, dental implants, porcelain veneers, partial denture attachments, and other prosthodontic related topics. Dr. Habsha joined the Prosthodontic Associates team in 1998.
