Roya received her B.Sc. in midwifery from the University of Shahid Beheshti, Tehran, Iran in 1991, where she delivered over 300 babies in her 7 years of practice. Upon immigrating to Canada, she started working in the dental field in 1999 as a dental assistant and dental administrator. Roya received her certificate in level II Dental Assisting in 2001, and her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2003 from George Brown College. She also completed a local anesthesia (block and infiltration) course at the University of Manitoba in May 2007. Roya received her graduate certificate in Restorative Dental Hygiene from George Brown College in 2008.
Roya has been working at Prosthodontic Associates as a CDAII since 2001, and as an RDH since 2003. She has also practiced as a dental hygienist in a peadiatric practice and other dental offices since 2003. Roya is now working full-time at Prosthodontic Associates as a registered restorative dental hygienist, RRDH. She also coordinates implant treatment and is involved in continuing education at the Prosthodontic Associates Centre of Excellence. Roya has been the clinical coordinator at Prosthodontic Associates since Jan. 2010, and has recently been awarded the designation of Professor at George Brown College.
